Francisca Mar
Francisca is currently serving as a Post-Graduate Researcher for the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) at UC Davis.
She received her B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from UC Davis following a course of study emphasizing advanced policy analysis.
Francisca has worked at ITS as an undergraduate and post-graduate researcher since 1992.
During this time, she has assisted in research projects covering topics such as:
the relationship between land use and travel behavior;
public use of a simulated advanced traveler information system;
and the feasibility of telephone-based traveler information systems.
Francisca recently helped to research the air quality analysis process under
the National Environmental Policy Act and the Federal air quality Conformity Rule of 1993.
Fran is currently working in the office of the Neighborhood Telecenters Program where
her duties include contracts management, telecenter operations research and data analysis.
When not haunting the halls of work, Fran enjoys the Great Outdoors by camping and hiking
in the Sierras (hoping to improve skills in fly fishing and rock climbing)
and the Great Indoors by reading a good book and playing piano.
She plans to continue working in the environmental field to promote respect and responsibility toward natural resources.
