Brett E. Koenig
Brett E. Koenig, staff scientist, earned his B.S. degree in Environmental
Policy Analysis and Planning from UC Davis. Mr. Koenig has worked at
the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California,
Davis, evaluating transportation control measures and performing emissions
modeling. At ITS-Davis, he headed a project that evaluated the congestion and
emissions impacts of a roving tow truck service in Los Angeles using the
freeway corridor model, FREQ. On other projects, the California Air
Resources Board's emissions inventory models EMFAC and BURDEN were used to
calculate the emissions impacts of telecommuting. Mr. Koenig currently
performs air quality modeling and conformity assessment with the
Transportation/Air Quality Services Group at System Applications
International (SAI).
