Kevan Shafizadeh is a graduate student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Davis. He is currently working on a project to evaluate the costs and benefits of telecommuting and the general economics that influence telecommuting for the individual, as well as the private and public sectors. He has researched and evaluated related related data presented in the literature.
Kevan's focus and interest is in emerging transportation and communication technologies and how these influence travel behavior. He is also fluent in various computer technologies, including geographical information systems as well as Internet and local area network applications. He has developed many web sites, including the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and continues to maintain the Institute of Transportation Studies web site.
Kevan received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at UC Davis. He plans to plans to earn his doctorate after receiving his Masters in June of 1998.
