Michelle Derr
Michelle Derr received her bachelor's degree in Economics from Tennessee
Technological University and a master's degree from the University of South
Florida. At the University of South Florida, Michelle studied economics,
transportation, and planning while working for the Center for Economic and
Management Research (CEMR). At CEMR, she was introduced to transportation
research with the help of the Center for Urban Transportation Reserch (CUTR).
She also worked at the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization's
Department of Transportation. After coming to California, she consulted
with Decision Economics, an urban planning and transportation consulting
firm.
Michelle has worked for the Institute of Transportation Studies since 1993 as
the Evaluation Manager for the Neighborhood Telecenters Program. In between
begging telecenter participants for their surveys and travel diaries, she
likes to backpack, cross country ski, and do aerobics.
