Prashant Narayan Balepur

Prashant Balepur is an ITS alumnus now working at Decision Focus Inc. (DFI), a management consulting firm in Mountain View, CA. While at ITS, Prashant worked on two projects: the Davis Community Network project and the ongoing Neighborhood Telecenters Project. He is currently in the process of finalizing his Master's thesis, wherein he and Professor Mokhtarian have investigated the commonly occuring communication patterns and media usage in a computer-mediated setting.
Prashant has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and hopes to get a MS from UCDavis in the very near future.

At DFI, Prashant is involved in developing and implementing demand forecasting solutions for clients in the shipping industry.

His interests outside of work include travel, trekking, photography, pencil sketching, web design and theatre.
