Los Banos Telecenter

The Los Banos Telecenter, in a rural area of central California, is owned and operated by National Telecenters, Inc., a California corporation. The telecenter is located downtown at 545 J Street, Los Banos, California. It officially opened on August 15, 1994. Currently, the center is setting up 3 open-area workstations, 8 private offices, and a conference room. The private offices occupy 3000 square feet; the size of the remaining areas is unknown. In addition to standard telephone service, the telecenter is equipped with ISDN service, and videoconferencing service is available on an "on-call" basis, for use by small groups. The center also will be equipped with laptop PCs and additional ISDN lines. Past marketing activities for this center have been personal contacts with commuters. Future marketing strategies are still in the planning stages. Rates for telecommuting services vary by services required, space required and length of commitment by the individual client.
