Technology

The technology you will be using for successful telecommuting should support the tasks and activities you will be performing at the Telecenter. You may not necessarily require all the technology you are using in your traditional office on your telecommuting day. Therefore, decide upon the technology you will be using according to what you may need to successfully complete your work while at the Telecenter.

Technology can be sophisticated and complex. If you are considering a high tech application, make sure you have a reliable technician who can help with problems. It may take a few attempts to get the system up and working. But the good news is that once it is up and working there are usually few problems. Until you are sure that the technology at the telecenter is working, you may consider taking back-up work.
