The Joy of the Journey:
Celebrating the Life and Work of Ryuichi Kitamura
The travel behavior community lost a first-rank scholar and beloved colleague with the untimely passing of Ryuichi Kitamura in February 2009. Ryuichi spent the first half of his career (1978 - 1993) on the faculty of the University of California, Davis, and the second half on the faculty at Kyoto University. Now, these two institutions have joined to host a symposium honoring Ryuichi's life and work. Like Ryuichi himself, we expect the event to be both intellectually stimulating and personally lively and fun. We hope you will be able to join us.
