Gifts to Friends of ITS-Davis enhance the educational experience
of students in our outstanding graduate program. ITS-Davis students are on the forefront of essential research in travel behavior and transport systems modeling; environmental vehicle technologies and fuels; and environmental impacts.

Friends of ITS-Davis supports graduate students with funding for student research projects, technology needs, travel to present work to national and international groups, and outstanding thesis and dissertation awards. Ryuichi Kitamura Fund

Over the span of thirty years, Ryuichi Kitamura left an indelible mark on the transportation profession through his contributions in the areas of activity-based analysis, travel demand modeling, time-use research, dynamic analysis of travel behavior, travel survey methods, and transportation policy studies.
 
The Kitamura family, together with the two universities at which Ryuichi spent his career – UC Davis and Kyoto University – are united in our desire to honor Ryuichi’s life and wishes by establishing the Ryuichi Kitamura Fund in support of graduate student scholarship and exchange of ideas in the field of travel behavior research.
